Allied Technology Installs Severe Weather Gas Production Unit in the Marcellus Shale
Allied Technology announced today the installation of a custom designed severe weather gas production unit for a major client operating in the Marcellus Shale. Gauthier Pierozak, General Manager of Titan Tanks and Vessels, a division of Allied Technology, said “We worked very closely with our customer to design a highly reliable gas production unit that incorporates multiple safety features and is packaged to be easily serviceable in the extreme weather conditions faced in Pennsylvania during the winter. “
The severe weather gas production unit has been designed to allow for instrumentation and pipes to be enclosed within a heated enclosure to eliminate freezing during extended cold periods. The enclosure is heated by an encased water bath where heat transfer is facilitated by a coil heated by a natural gas self feed burner system. Access for personnel to service the unit has been optimized and the accessory component layout and design allows quick and easy replacement of parts through simple valve shutdowns. Enhanced features include additional scrubbers, safety valves and salt filters to deal with local well conditions.
Allied Technology President and CEO Wendell Brooks said, “We are experiencing significant growth opportunities in the Marcellus Shale and we will continue to work with our clients to develop new products that address the unique weather and operating conditions experienced in this area.” For more information on our new severe weather gas production unit or other surface production equipment, please contact Philip Neelley at (940) 736-8107 or Philip.
